Power over Ethernet (PoE) delivers power and data over a single cable. Standard PoE (802.3af) supplies up to about 15.4W per port, while PoE+ (802.3at) supplies up to about 30W — enough for pan-tilt-zoom cameras, multi-radio access points, and video phones. What is the difference between a Layer 2 and a Layer 3 switch?
